After several days of calm, enter Monday with news that a new shot of the doubts and controversies between operating systems for netbooks.

Just a few weeks ago jumped the news that Google was developing OS Chrome, a new operating system that works with web applications that would oust the popular Windows. Today, once again be present Moblin, a Linux-based operating system developed by Intel, which aims to become an alternative to Windows in terms of netbooks is concerned, and Asus will be the one to turn the wick of this new system, installing some of their models of netbooks with Moblin.

The thing is that after the tests conducted by some experts, has concluded that Moblin improves performance of the netbooks that include, but is also significantly reduces the startup time of these.

Due to the graphical interface that provides Moblin, it is believed that they could install Asus Moblin in models of touch netbooks, but we need official confirmation of the range that will bring a new platform with which to equip our ultra. Is not there already too many operating systems for NETBOOK?

Asus has already unveiled the features and pricing models that take the Eee PC range Seashell in Spain, complementing the already submitted one time 1008HA. This is an ultra thin and elegant design and those who want to offer a good autonomy.

We started with the Asus Eee PC 1101HA Seashell, the larger model because it comes with a 11.6 inch screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Inside you will find an Intel Atom Z520 processor, 1GB of RAM, 160 GB hard drive and connectivity Bluetoot and compatible with Wi-Fi 802.11n. The autonomy of this model is up to 8.5 hours of operation thanks to its 6-cell battery, with a total weight of 1.4 kg, and available in white and black.

We continue by recalling the features of the Asus Eee PC 1008HA Seashell, which reduces the screen size to 10 inches and resolution of 1024 × 600 pixels, and autonomy to 6.5 hours, although the processor is replaced by an Atom N280. Its weight is 1.1 kilos.

Concludes with two similar models, the Asus 1005HA-H and 1005HA-M Asus. The first one with an Atom N280 offers up to 10.5 hours of battery life while the second remains in 8.5 hours, both with 1.4 kilos in weight, and unlike in the processor, an Atom N280 and N270 respectively.
