EBook Reader solar LG

EBook Reader solar LG

While underway on our special e-book comes news of a prototype of LG with the show as a device that these can operate with a solar panel that can recharge its battery.

With the proper autonomy of electronic books, recharging the battery will be one of our minor concerns, but if such a model came to market, we could probably completely forget it, especially in a country like Spain with so many hours of sunshine.

According to LG, four to five hours in the sun we would use it for a full day. It does not seem a panacea, but since the company promised that during his next year will increase its efficiency by 12 percent and in 2012 will grow by 14 percent. Then it may be a realistic option for recharging the battery.

Infinite Book, and a concept for a Newspaper

Infinite Book
We have not had time to get used to the technologies associated with electronic ink (or e-Ink), such as electronic books or variable chromatic functions, and we’ll start to show concepts of advanced versions of the principles that eBooks have been possible. Surprised we are left with this idea, which becomes even a prototype, called Infinite Book. Despite its name, make no mistake: we are not facing a new model of e-book, but to what could become an electronic newspaper on a physical medium. In some places, the Infinite Book has already been dubbed the rubber newspaper, and no wonder. This unique device project could be made of a flexible material that would come to give a plastic appearance in order to facilitate handling. The idea of creating such an artifact would not banish Infinite Book local customs concerning the reading of the press, so that the contents of the digital edition of a newspaper (defined as the searchable Internet version), could be read in this medium.

Infinite Book

Furthermore, with the aim of not quitting just browsing the newspaper, the Infinite Book incorporate a design that would emulate the passing of pages, as we do regularly to check out today between the lines of a newspaper. Moreover, this concept uses a very futuristic look attractive and to make the even more curious is interested so you can give it the Infinite Book, which could make use of it accompanied by a tactile interface for navigation buttons .

Of possible production dates, or interest that a manufacturer would have shown for the idea, we know absolutely nothing. Of course, the way to make a striking device and have traveled. Now would lack the most important content and production.

Sony Reader Daily Edition ebook with 3G connectivity

Competition is presented to the Kindle and this goes hand in hand with Sony, a new electronic book reader that has just been introduced and, as in the case of Amazon’s device, comes with integrated 3G connectivity, so that we may download books wirelessly.

The Sony Reader Daily Edition provides a fairly acceptable screen size, 7 inches, falling somewhere in between that allows good visualization and easy transportation. This size allows even display two pages at once if we use it horizontally.

Two other attractive features make this display: it is tactile and has 16 levels of gray. We, therefore, take notes with the Sony Reader Daily Edition plus more quality viewing of documents, including images or photographs. It comes with a lid and integrated memory to store over a thousand books and a memory card slot.

The content is one of the fateful in many of these devices. At EPUB support and access to public domain books Google Books Library Finder is added, with which we can borrow books from a library.

The metaphor is more than accurate, as well as in a library of physical books, these virtual books exist in a limited quantity, so if all copies of one loan have been caught in someone we expect his return, which is automatically restored after 21 days.

Like the Kindle, currently the Sony Reader Daily Edition is not offered for sale in Europe, although it is based on 3G are more likely to end up coming sooner rather than later, but will require the agreement with mobile operators and publishers and distributors of books. In the United States will be sold beginning in December for $ 400.

The Sony PRS-300 model is the first of a new series of readers called Reader Pocket Edition, and its price is $ 199. The other model, the Sony PRS-600 falls within the range Reader Touch Edition and its price will rise to about $ 299 also attractive. Both go on sale this month of August, but again, only in USA.

Reader PRS-300 Pocket Edition has a 5-inch screen and can adquirilo with different colors, another curious and interesting novelty. It is possible to choose between a reader silver, blue or pink. In its 256 MB internal memory can store up to 350 electronic books and the rechargeable battery goes to two weeks. We scaled that Sony does not give us the possibility to extend the internal memory with SD memory cards because you can only enter the e-book content via USB port.

The model with a touchscreen, the Sony PRS-600 has a menu on your screen 6 inches. We may use your fingers, or dip into the touch pen that comes with it. The book with touch screen that allows it to use memory cards Memory Stick Pro Duo or SD to enhance the capacity of the reader. It also lets us adjust the font size up to five forms and comes in three colors, in this case silver, red and black.
