One small baby step that gives the Kingston SSDNow V + Series, a small update on the first models introduced last summer. In this case, the new V + not only bring better transfer speeds, but also more capacity.
With 64 models, 128, 256 and even 512 GB, SSDNow V + now reach 230 MB / s read and 180 MB / s in writing, figures significantly higher than those of their predecessors, which reached 220 and 180 MB / s respectively (in writing, also depended on the model chosen). Of course we talked SATA2 interface and a size of 2.5 inches. Kingston sells every model in two versions, one with individual drive and another on a similar update pack we saw in our analysis of SSDNow V 40 GB, allowing us to use it on a 3.5-inch bay and also includes tools and software required for complete installation.
The field of interest arises SSD during this 2010. Already discussed a bit above our Trends 2010: desktops, and the truth is that the thing seems to be that way: higher capacity drives that will make less extensive lower their price.
Of course if we talk about the V + Series Kingston SSDNow we must take into account that in addition to its huge capacity (especially in the case of the 512 GB model) also we will find technical specifications exceed those of most SSD market. Not expected to be at all cheap or even affordable.
About prices have not been confirmed yet but hopefully we can offer the data in the coming hours.

SSDs not yet widespread in our computers, except for some high-end notebooks. Its price remains one of the main obstacles. So the Kingston SSDNow V Series bet for combining an SSD with a hard disk.
The idea is that we use the SSD as a boot disk and install the most used applications. Not our drive for data, movies, music, … then with 40 GB capacity would remain low for that. But for Windows, Office, browser, …
In this way accelerate the time we got on and off the computer and boot the application. The V Series SSDNow Kingston 40 GB is available in two options, one in a 2.5-inch disk and another in a kit all in one.
The latter includes an adapter from 2.5 to 3.5 inches and extension cords and cables needed to install it like a conventional hard disk. It will go on sale from next November 9 and will be priced at 77.76 euros in its conventional and 82.13 euros in its kit.
