Touchscreens: resistive vs capacitive

resistiveAfter the MWC this year, I think we have to review knowledge on touch screens. It seems clear trend for manufacturers to create new mobile touch, and advertising is normally speak only of “touch-screen phone,” without specifying.

We have already mentioned that there are two main types of touch screens on mobile: capacitive or resistive . Both use the same principle to detect the pulse: changes in electrical current. To be used directly by the finger, without intermediate objects, and not require any pressure, the user experience to handle this type of display is quite good. The impression is of speed, immediacy, if the operating system and program that we are handling this well designed, of course.
They also have their limitations. Having to use your fingers, the less accurate and not sense the pressure limit the possibilities of software that can run. Continue Reading
