Shortly after Windows 8 Build 7850 Milestone 1 leaked in nature, began to emerge several tools designed to activate the first leak of Windows 8 and to unlock new features that Microsoft had locked away from prying eyes.
Then there should be no surprise that the hacks have evolved to also apply to Windows 8 Build 7955 Milestone 2, pre-M3.
At the end of last week I told you about a tool designed to unlock the new features included in Windows 8.
I have since found two additional hacks, one of which refers to the array as the first.
The tools can be used by those running the leaked version Windows 8 Build 7955 to activate their operating system and obtain an original copy.
We can safely assume that the hacks used some of the methods known by their authors, including recycling of components of the platform of Windows 7 or earlier versions of Windows, creating frankenbuilds operating system.
In addition to activating Windows 8 Build 7955, there are also collateral benefits, such as exposing new features and functionalities that enable are disabled by default.
The pirates promise to unlock solutions Ribbon Explorer UI Pattern Touch Login, Immersive Browser, Webcam Modern, Modern Reader, Metro OOBE UI Welcome, Login, Lockscreen and System Settings, and activate DWM Complete (Windows Aero without blurring), Auto Theme Colorization and Theme Login Screen Image. When I surf the Internet I try to stay away from questionable sites that could have malicious intentions for my computer. When pop ups offer free prizes or too good to be true information I’ve learned to delete them and move on. So when my computer started to slow down I felt it could not be due to anything I clicked on and must be a malfunction of my PC.
My HD in use light on the front of my PC also started to flash a lot more than I had ever seen and that just made me think it really was a machine or hardware problem. Not wanting to loose my PC at he repair shop for weeks I searched the Internet for diagnostic tools that would let me know what was going on. A search engine took me to a Cyberdefender review that showed their software to be promising and the live 24/7 support might be of help if the software couldn’t find the problem.
A read a few more Cyberdefender reviews and decided to go ahead an just buy the package without the free trial. On the first pass, Cyberdefender told me that I was infected with spy ware also known as malware. It was this spying reports being sent back to the spy site headquarters that was keeping my HD access light flashing and slowing down other web traffic to my PC. While I was surfing it was sending its reports at the same time and with a dial up Internet connection I really slowed down my PC. Once Cyberdefender found and eliminated the spy ware, it was like getting a new machine.
