Gravatar – Globally Recognized Avatar is a web service that lets you associate an image (avatar) to the mail user who registers with the Web service.

This web service is very helpful because it let the comments in the various web sites we visit will see the image associated with the email.

Gravatar allows us to reach our image 512px wide, will appear by default in 80 × 80, where the image is larger or smaller that will scale the image to reach an ideal measurement.

To eliminate spam, email addresses are encrypted with the MD5 hash function. This prevents spambots collect e-mail.
