Samsung will launch the “Galaxy Tab 2″ in March

Samsung Electronics will release in March its new 7-inch digital tablet “Galaxy Tab 2″, with which it intends to continue to stand up to Apple in the market for smart devices, today announced the South Korean firm.The tech giant said Asia will present the “Galaxy Tab 2″ in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress, a major trade fairs in the mobile industry, which takes place from February 27 to March 1.The new Samsung tablet, which will be available in both 3G and wifi, will be marketed first in the UK next month and later hit the rest of the world markets.

The Galaxy Tab 2 will feature the new version 4.0 of Google’s Android operating system known as “Ice Cream Sandwich” and two cameras, one front and one rear, the latter of 3 megapixels, advanced the company.To date, Samsung Electronics has commercialized two tablets, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and revised Galaxy Tab 10.1N, both of 10.1 inches, so the new device shows a substantial reduction in size only 7 inches.With this, Samsung aims to provide more functionality to your new tablet, according to South Korean multinational, may be used as an additional phone for video calls between several people.Samsung Electronics aims much of its efforts to meet growing global demand for smart devices, a sector in which it competes head to head with U.S. firm Apple.

The electronics division of Samsung Group closed the year 2011 with record sales of more than 146,000 million, up 7 percent from 2010, thanks to the high demand for their “smartphones” and tablets.
