For here we have seen some Ubergizmo external graphics card like the ATi XGP or Asus ROG XG. Actually there are a few models, though none of them achieved a great success.
However, the latest Acer Ferrari One that was presented a couple of weeks ago, has the ATi XGP connection port. Through it you can connect an external graphics equivalent to ATi 4670, which will provide power but maybe not too interesting enough for a computer of 11.6 inches.
The peripheral Acer sell it directly, calling Acer DynaVivid Graphics Dock. Its design reminds me of the Acer Aspire Revo, with very similar dimensions and weight that is around 0.65 kg.
With this external graphics, the Acer Ferrari One allows resolutions up to 2048 × 1536 pixels via the integrated HDMI port on the computer itself. Should be taken into account that require external power, thus lose some of the portability of the computer.
The Acer DynaVivid Graphics Dock will go on sale in November for about $ 200, is compatible only with the few teams that have an integrated ATI XGP connection.
