Power Pack 3 beta of Windows Home Server: integration with Windows 7

Upgrading Windows Home Server comes with PP3 beta, which is now available for download on Microsoft Connect. This update is for the advancement of the netbooks on the market, the future new operating system Windows 7, extending compatibility with them, carrying part of Windows Search 4, to search more quickly, among other things. Power Pack is a difference in a service pack that brings improvements not just “below” the system, but also brings improvements to the user.

But the great novelty of this PP3 is the incorporation and expansion of compatibility with Windows 7 and Windows Media Center. With these improvements, we can make full backups of our devices, including the libraries of Windows 7. In this way we will have well-managed backups, without mixing the types of multimedia files (remember that libraries are grouped into files of the same type in different folders: documents in the library of documents, music … the music library).

In short, Windows Search 4 instant search on our home pc’s, integration with Windows Media Center will export the emissions recorded in various formats for playback and storage wherever we want, and Windows 7 reflect the backups as we organized in libraries of our PC.

It is anticipated that the final release of Power Pack 3 will be implemented in conjunction with Windows 7 to October 22.
